About Me

Founder/Owner of Holm Inspections, LLC, Eric Holm, is a seasoned and knowledgeable inspector. He is a member of the Timber Framers Guild, follows the ASHI (American Society for Home Inspectors) Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, holds an ITA (Inspector Training Associates) certificate, and is a member of the Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Eric covers the eastern coast of Maine, mainly Hancock and Washington counties .

 

Eric was previously a vocational education teacher and a carpenter in charge of several projects overseas. His enthusiasm and love for renovating older homes naturally lead him to home inspections. Holm Inspections is very familiar with older homes and the problems they present. We specialize in residential home inspection, and offer water quality testing in addition to our standard inspection.

 

He encourages you to accompany him during the inspection, which takes from 2 ½ to 4 hours depending on the size, age, and condition of your house. During this time, Eric can offer preventive maintenance tips, as well as share his knowledge to make you more in control, confident, and at ease about your investment.
